I’m going to be in Toronto at the end of March, teaming up with RENX, Hunter Milborne and some wonderful sponsors – who will be announced in due time – to present an educational breakfast seminar on the new ideas we have about how to take residential and resort real estate developments to market in this new economy. The title of the seminar is, perhaps not surprisingly, Sell The Truth.
We’ll be talking about the importance of social media, and how to use it for real estate development sales. We’ll share our approach to creating a memorable communications campaign using what we call Marketing Journalism. We’ll talk about websites, print ads, outdoor ads, sales centres, collateral, online marketing, mobile marketing, and how these tools need to change in response to consumer expectations and evolving media habits. And we’ll share some of the secrets of success that have helped our real estate developer clients achieve startling results during what have been arguably some of the worst market conditions in memory.
You will leave this seminar able to implement these techniques yourself, armed with new ideas and marketing directions for your own development projects.
Hunter Milborne will reveal his predictions for the coming year for the GTA market, and a few surprise guest speakers will be on hand with information that will help developers understand what it will take to attract and convert prospects in the new economy.

We’re doing this because we believe that the real estate development community is at a turning point, and that we need to think new thoughts and try new things. If we can share what we’ve learned so far, perhaps we can help make our industry stronger. A stronger industry is good for all of us.
