Christine Bergeron is taking an extended leave of absence from her role as president and CEO of Concert Properties to focus on her health and family, the company announced this week.

Bergeron and the board have jointly decided the best course of action is to initiate a formal search for a new president and CEO.

John Dooling has been named interim CEO.

During a previous leave for Bergeron, Dooling also served as interim CEO from June 2024 through July 2025, working closely with Bergeron throughout her phased return. He will re-assume these duties in addition to his current position as managing director and chief financial officer.

Over the course of Bergeron’s two-year tenure at Concert, her leadership guided the company through uncertain market conditions.

“On behalf of the board of directors, our first thoughts are with Christine and her family, and we join everyone here in supporting her as she focuses on what matters most,” said Ivan Limpright, Concert’s board chair, in the announcement. “Christine has led with strength, passion and conviction during a pivotal time for our company. She is an exceptional leader whose intellect, vision and ability to empower others have elevated our organization.

“We are keeping Christine and her family in our hearts and will miss her immensely.”
