Toronto Region Board of Trade moving to Queens Quay

The Toronto Region Board of Trade will lease 90,000 square feet in Menkes Developments’ new office building at 100 Queens Quay East. The space will feature an enlarged corporate event space with outdoor terrace overlooking the city, as well as enhanced workspaces.

Much recent attention in Ottawa’s office market has focused on the downtown thanks to declining vacancy, tech firms heading into the core and the new LRT. That has prompted speculation about where the next major office tower might be constructed.

It’s been three years since Savills Studley purchased Real Facilities, an acquisition which opened the Toronto-based firm to the world. “This merger with Savills has allowed us to extend our breadth and our depth for our clients,” said Stan Krawitz.

OCAD University is determined to move forward with a campus expansion project after receiving news the province is withdrawing millions in funding. The downtown Toronto project involves adding 50,000 square feet of new space and renovating 95,000 square feet of existing space.
