Allied Properties selects new CFO, trio of appointments at Arcadis and more

Allied Properties Real Estate Investment Trust (AP-UN-T) announced that Craig MacIntyre has been appointed senior vice president and chief financial officer, effective July 29. MacIntyre will succeed Nanthini Mahalingam, who will remain in place during a transition period to support continuity.

“We’re pleased to welcome Craig to Allied’s management team,” Allied president and CEO Cecilia Williams, said. “He brings deep sector expertise, strong financial discipline, and a proven track record of executing on strategic priorities. His leadership will be instrumental as we continue to advance our strategy, strengthen our balance sheet, and deliver long-term value for our unitholders."

MacIntyre is a seasoned real estate executive with nearly two decades of experience in capital markets, corporate finance, strategic transactions, investor relations and portfolio management, the Allied announcement said.

Most recently, he served as vice president, investments and corporate development at Choice Properties REIT, where he led acquisitions, dispositions, capital allocation and strategic initiatives. Prior to Choice Properties, MacIntyre held senior roles in finance and capital markets at George Weston Limited, Canadian Real Estate Investment Trust (CREIT) and Deloitte.

“I’m excited to join Allied and contribute to the execution of its strategic priorities,” MacIntyre said. “Allied has a distinctive portfolio, a strong operating platform, and a clear long-term vision. I look forward to working with Cecilia, the Board of Trustees, and the management team to support the next phase of growth."

Breno Lima has joined CBRE Investment Management as director, client solutions officer and will be based out of CBRE's Toronto office.

A native of Montreal, Breno is fluent in English, French, Portuguese and Spanish, a reflection of both his global perspective and the diverse client base he has built throughout his career.

Breno brings more than 16 years of experience across institutional and private wealth markets in Canada. Most recently, he served as vice president at Slate Asset Management in Montreal, where he was responsible for capital raising and investor relations for the real assets alternative investment firm.

In his new role, Breno will work in close partnership with Steven Yeh and Scott Silverberg to drive client growth across Canada.

Breno holds a bachelor of commerce in finance from McGill University and the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation.

Damon Knights appointed senior VP at OIM Group

Mortgage and financial services firm OIM Group has appointed Damon Knights as senior vice president and group head - residential lending. Knights joins OIM from a major Canadian financial institution, where he most recently served as vice president, sales and distribution, personal banking, based in Toronto.

"We are thrilled to welcome Damon to The OIM Group as Senior Vice President," OIM CEO Teddy Kyres said. OIM Group has a network of over 800 agents across North America. 

In his new role, Knights will oversee strategic growth initiatives across The OIM Group and its affiliated brands - Indi, Orbis, and IMN - as well as lead the organization's in-house lending arm, Swyft Mortgage. He will focus on national expansion, strengthening lender partnerships, driving operational excellence, and further reinforcing the organization's broker-first approach.

Three appointments at Arcadis

Arcadis has three new leaders within its Western Canada landscape architecture, transportation engineering and environmental management practices: Maren McBride, principal and landscape architect, Antoine Henry, senior project manager, transportation engineering, and Sahar Safaie, disaster and climate risk management specialist.

With over 17 years of experience as a landscape architect, urban designer, and planner, McBride brings expertise in mixed-use development, transit-oriented communities, parks and open space systems, civic public realm and complex multi-disciplinary city-building projects. 

Henry joins Arcadis as a senior project manager, following 18 years of experience as a civil engineer specializing in roadway and transportation infrastructure projects. His expertise spans project management, design leadership, project controls and construction oversight for complex roadway systems, bridges, tunnels and intermodal connections. 

Safaie brings 20 years of experience and previously led the design and development of three United Nations guidelines on national risk assessments and disaster risk reduction strategies, bridging her technical expertise with policy and governance challenges at the global level.

In 2017, she founded Sage On Earth Consulting and, most recently, Safaie served as the technical and project lead for British Columbia’s Disaster and Climate Risk and Resilience Assessment (DCRRA).

Consulting firm Crozier adds Jurgen Koehler to Board of Directors

Crozier has announced the appointment of Jurgen Koehler, P.Eng., MBA, Partner, to its Board of Directors.

“Jurgen is a trusted leader who brings sound judgement, technical rigour, and a steady focus on delivering well,” founder and CEO Chris Crozier said in the announcement. “He has earned respect across the firm through mentoring and consistent project execution. We’re grateful for his contributions and welcome his perspective at the Board table as we uphold our standards and make thoughtful, disciplined decisions.”

Koehler started at Crozier as a co-op student in 2011 from the University of Guelph, and he returned full-time in 2013 as an engineering intern. Over more than a decade with the firm, he has taken on progressively broader leadership responsibilities and built a record of reliable delivery. He was named an Associate in 2018 and appointed Partner in 2024.

Founded in 2004, Crozier is a consulting firm in the land development and building industry headquartered in Collingwood, Ont.
