CREW Network (Commercial Real Estate Women), the member-based, sponsor-driven organization that supports more than 13,000 members worldwide through 80+ regional chapters, including CREW Vancouver, will host its signature event, CREW Network Convention, in Vancouver, BC from September 25-27, 2024.
It is expected to draw over 1,300 commercial real estate leaders from around the globe for deal making, business networking, industry education and leadership development, with several local sponsorship opportunities available.
CREW Network was founded in 1989 to bring together women involved in the many aspects of commercial real estate to exchange information, develop business contacts and help each other succeed professionally. Today, CREW Network is the premier business network dedicated to transforming the commercial real estate industry by advancing women globally.
The Vancouver chapter was founded in 2005 in response to the gender gap in the city’s Commercial Real Estate sector. To date, the chapter has grown to 250 members, and hosts 35+ events annually.
Host Chapter Convention Co-Chairs are Ashley Willard Bauman, Principal at Beyond the Buildings, and Chrystal Burns, Executive Vice President, Canadian Retail at QuadReal. Both have served in the role of CREW Vancouver President and Past President. Responsible for a portion of the event programming, Ms. Bauman and Ms. Burns will oversee and manage four volunteer committees and serve as key liaison between CREW Vancouver and CREW Network.
Ashley Willard Bauman said:
“Together with our committee, the goal is to deliver first-class learning excursions and envision a combination of highly experiential placemaking tours, a focus on innovative transit-oriented developments, intensified industrial, and office innovation downtown. It will be very exciting to showcase the beauty and unique nature of Vancouver to an international real estate audience. We can’t wait!”
Chrystal Burns said:
“I am passionate about CREW Vancouver and am thrilled at the opportunity to be helping to showcase our iconic city to the many CREW members who will make their way here in 2024 for the 1st CREW Convention to be hosted in Vancouver! Showing our city will be an honour, and sponsors will benefit significantly from the international audience we can expect to draw."
Cindy MacMillan, CREW Network President-Elect, said:
“CREW exists to accelerate success for all women in commercial real estate industry globally through business networking, leadership development, industry research and career outreach – I can’t think of a better place to do this than Vancouver, a centre-of-excellence and innovation for the property industry”.
