Crown Realty Partners has announced that CEO and managing partner Les Miller plans to retire effective June 30, with several of the company’s senior executives stepping into expanded roles as he departs.
"It has been an honour to lead Crown Realty Partners. I am incredibly proud of what we have accomplished together, and I have complete confidence in Emily, Jamie, and Scott to lead Crown to even greater heights. I look forward to watching the company's continued success from a new perspective," Miller said in the company’s announcement.
No direct successor has been named. Rather, Toronto-based Crown states that managing partners Emily Hanna, Jamie Christie and Scott Watson will continue to lead the organization.
Hanna will now oversee acquisitions and dispositions. She will also continue leading investments and capital formation, the company’s environmental, social and governance initiatives, and human resources.
Christie will continue to lead asset management, property accounting and financial reporting. He will work closely with Mark Dimmell, partner, finance and reporting.
Watson will now be responsible for property management and construction, working closely with Anthony Kingsley, partner, operations. He will continue to lead the leasing team, alongside Stefan Teague, partner, leasing. Together, the groups will be referred to as Crown’s “Real Estate Services” segment.
“Les has been an integral part of Crown for more than two decades,” Hanna said in the announcement. “He moved his family from Saskatchewan to help build this firm, and throughout his tenure he has consistently supported our growth, championed new initiatives, and helped shape a culture of collaboration, innovation, and integrity.
“We are thankful for all he has contributed and wish him the very best in his retirement.”
Miller has been with the firm for over 23 years, since its inception in 2001.
“Crown’s partnership model has always been a cornerstone of our success,” Watson stated in the announcement. “With Emily, Jamie and I continuing to lead the firm as managing partners, this transition marks the next chapter in that evolution. We are excited to build on the strong foundation we’ve worked hard to establish together.”
“Working alongside Les has been a privilege,” Christie added. “His sound judgement, commitment to partnership and collaboration have left a lasting mark on Crown. As we look ahead, we are thankful for his commitment and confident in the continued strength of the entire leadership team at Crown.”
