CAPREIT (CAR.UN-T) has acquired the newly constructed Alto Towers apartments in London, Ont., for $130 million, the trust announced this morning. The transaction is part of $216M in acquisitions and dispositions CAPREIT completed in Q1.
A 200,000-square-foot downtown Barrie mixed-use office and retail building with a prime location but a troubled past, has new ownership and a sense of optimism about its future prospects.
