Tessera Group to build new HQ in north Durham, Ont.
North American manufacturing company Tessera Group Inc. will build its new corporate home in north Durham. Tessera’s new headquarters will combine its various locations across the Greater Toronto Area under one roof. The new investment will include 95 jobs.
Kubota closing one of its Orillia, Ont. facilities
A 39,000-square-foot plant that opened in 2013 at Kubota Materials Canada on Commerce Road in Orillia will shut down later this year. Kubota president Hiroshi Makino said the Orillia TXAX plant will be “ceasing production” in June.

Dollarama targets 2000 stores by 2031
Montreal-based Dollarama added five stores in Manitoba, bringing its provincial store count to 47 with a net national expansion of 65 new stores during 2023. There are currently 1,486 stories across Canada with plans to reach 2,000 by 2031.
