Toronto real estate investment firm Axia Real Assets LP has proposed an acquisition of Plaza Retail REIT (PLZ-UN-T), which values the Fredericton-based retail property owner and developer at $1.23 billion.

Slate Grocery REIT considers buyout from its external manager

Toronto-based Slate Grocery REIT has received a buy-out proposal from its external manager, Slate Asset Management, the REIT announced this morning. Slate Grocery said its board of trustees has established a special committee in response to the proposal.
