REMAX Canada has recruited 20-year commercial real estate industry veteran Damon Conrad to be its new vice-president of commercial.
Conrad joins REMAX from Royal LePage Commercial, where he served as vice-president and general manager. His years in the commercial real estate industry also include previous time with Cushman & Wakefield and Second Cup Coffee Co., among others.
Based in Toronto, Conrad will lead REMAX Canada’s commercial operations with a mandate to drive innovation and expansion. In the announcement, the company states it plans to enhance its commercial platform with "a renewed focus on national growth."

Damon’s vision and experience will be instrumental in elevating our commercial offering and supporting our affiliates as REMAX modernizes and maintains its position of No. 1 market share in Canada.”
A "sense of innovation and energy"
The Conrad hiring is designed to bulk up REMAX's leadership understanding of the complexities of retail, industrial and investment markets. The firm is also modernizing its technology and branding, including a refreshed REMAX Commercial logo.

Conrad’s industry contributions have been recognized with the NAIOP Real Estate Excellence Award for Office Lease of the Year in the Greater Toronto Area, and he was named to the Top-100 Most Influential Voices in Canadian Real Estate by BuzzMedia.
