John Meko

Director of Engineering, North America, WiredScore

John Meko is the Director of Engineering for North America at WiredScore, the first certification platform for rating internet connectivity in commercial office buildings. WiredScore evaluates and recognizes the best in connected commercial buildings, and shares this data publicly so businesses can compare buildings and make smarter leasing decisions. John has assessed the connectivity and infrastructure of over 2,000 commercial office buildings, helping building owners to provide a seamless digital experience for tenants. John not only works with existing buildings, but specializes in partnering with buildings in development to ensure they are designed and constructed to support seamless wireless access and resilient internet connectivity for all tenants. He has worked on over 100 development projects across the US and Canada, including Cambridge Crossing, a 43-acre transit-oriented community at the intersection of Cambridge, Somerville, and Boston. In 2019, he was nominated as one of the Top 25 Engineers and Architects under 35 by the Commercial Observer. Prior to joining WiredScore, John worked his way up through the telecom industry, starting with the AT&T Network Disaster Recovery Team, the only national telecommunication DR team used for natural disasters and large scale network outages. More recently John worked for Level 3 Communications, serving as the youngest Operations Lead in company history, managing a Metro Ethernet Network in New York and New Jersey of over 250 On-Net locations and 400-plus route miles of fibre.
