QuadReal to acquire Padlock's U.K. self-storage portfolio: $474M

An affiliate of QuadReal Property Group will pay approximately $474 million for a 95-per-cent interest in 26 U.K. self-storage properties from Padlock Euro Storage Fund, marking a major expansion in the storage sector for the B.C-based investor.

UPDATED: Canadian Apartment Properties REIT (CAR-UN-T) is on a holiday season buying spree, adding six properties to its portfolio since Nov. 6, including a 436-apartment complex in Greater Montreal and 187 residential units in Regina.
