With an established coast to coast presence in multiple Canadian markets, we are focused on bringing our property management expertise to new regions in the country.
Western Canada represents an important opportunity in this strategy. Our growing multi-residential portfolio in Alberta and the addition of six retirement residences in Manitoba reflect the breadth of our real estate expertise and our ability to deliver consistent, high-quality management across diverse property types and markets.
Bringing national expertise to local markets
At Cogir, we believe effective real estate management is built on a combination of experience, strong operational practices and an understanding of local market dynamics. While every market presents its own opportunities and challenges, our approach remains consistent: combining strong operational practices with experienced local teams and a long-term perspective.
Managing assets with a long-term perspective
In Alberta, our expanding multi-residential portfolio includes eight properties comprising 210 residential units, located primarily in the Grande Prairie area. With 206 units occupied, the portfolio reflects a strong existing demand for these homes.
The properties are primarily established three-story buildings that serve a diverse mix of residents, including families, young professionals and seniors. With practical amenities, access to green spaces and walking trails, and a focus on everyday livability, they represent an important segment of the residential rental market.
Our expansion in Western Canada also extends to retirement living. With the recent addition of six retirement residences in Manitoba, our portfolio in the province now totals 9 communities, strengthening our presence in a sector where operational expertise and a people-first approach are particularly important.
Retirement living requires a specialized understanding of the relationship between property operations, hospitality, service and resident well-being. Beyond maintaining buildings and managing day-to-day operations, retirement residence teams help create environments where residents feel welcomed, supported and connected.
Our experience in this sector reinforces the importance of bringing together operational discipline and a genuine commitment to people. From maintaining high standards across our residences to supporting employees who deliver services directly to residents, we recognize that every interaction contributes to the overall experience.
