Toronto, ON — October 29, 2026 — Peakhill Capital (“Peakhill”) announces the launch of Everest, a new capital pool dedicated to CMHC-insured multifamily construction lending across Canada. Everest is backed by a $750 million initial institutional commitment and provides loans from $4 million to $200 million for purpose-built rental projects.

Peakhill has been a top CMHC-insured construction lender for over six years and currently closes more than $1 billion of these loans annually. Everest gives the firm capacity to originate an additional $2 billion annually. This would bring Peakhill’s total annual CMHC-insured construction lending volume to approximately $3 billion, which can finance an estimated 8,000 multifamily rental units each year. Approximately $450 million has already been originated and closed under Everest year-to-date. Peakhill’s construction pipeline exceeds $2 billion, with more than 100 developments projected to close by the end of 2026.

“We’ve spent six years building one of Canada’s most active CMHC construction lending platforms, and we’re already closing more than a billion dollars a year,” said Harley Gold, President & CEO, Peakhill Capital. “Everest provides an additional pool of capital that enables us to finance significantly more projects and accelerate national housing development. Canada needs rental housing built faster, and this lets us put another $2 billion to work annually to help deliver it.”

Everest complements Peakhill’s CMHC-focused investment vehicles and existing credit facilities. With this multifaceted platform, Peakhill gives developers access to capital across project sizes and markets nationwide. Peakhill also looks to expand investor relationships across high-net-worth, family office, and institutional clients to support its credit arm.

“Our goal is to be the go-to lender for multifamily construction in Canada, whether it’s a $4 million project or a $200 million one,” said Jen Harrop, Senior Vice President of Fund Management, Peakhill Capital. “Everest, combined with our existing platforms, gives developers certainty of execution at a scale few lenders can match.”
