Montreal, August 5, 2025 --- Cities of the Future Management (Gestion Villes du Futur), in collaboration with key partners such as Allied Properties REIT, the City of Montréal and BDO Canada, is pleased to present, from September 24 to 29, 2025, the ninth biennial edition of the architectural and urban development event entitled THE MONTREAL OF THE FUTURE® at the World Trade Centre of Montreal. This exhibition is open to all citizens free of charge!

This is a unique event showcasing a variety of residential, institutional and commercial real estate projects that will change the face of Greater Montreal in the coming years, in the form of 3D models, drawings and photos on presentation panels, and video clips from various architects, developers and organizations. It is an interesting and unmissable high end event that allows exhibitors and partners to demonstrate their leadership in the development of the Montreal region. This free event, open to the public, will take place in downtown Montreal, at the beautiful World Trade Centre in Montreal, near several construction sites.

"It is with great pride that we support the 9th edition of the biennial exhibition The Montreal of the Future®. We are particularly enthusiastic about the quality of the projects presented this year. Montreal shines with the exceptional quality of its creators and builders who help shape our city and contribute to a promising future for our city," said the representatives of the three key partners of the event, Hugo Daigneault, Associate Director of Leasing, Allied Properties

REIT; Uros Milekic, Partner, Quebec Market Leader, BDO Canada; and Dieudonné Ella Oyono, Director, Economic Development Department, City of Montreal.

Founded in 2006 by veteran event organizer Robert J. Vezina, The Montreal of the Future® has been a great success since its inception. The 2025 edition is enjoying significant enthusiasm and will bring together an impressive number of key business clients who work in the real estate industry and contribute to the future development of Montreal, as well as the media and the general public.

Thousands of visitors are expected during the week of the exhibition. Please note that the projects presented at the exhibition are not necessarily formalized or approved. Even though many of the projects presented are rooted in reality, it is also a vision of the future of our city.

In addition to the three major partners mentioned above, many organizations participate in one form or another: real estate associations, developers and developers, architectural firms, law firms, brokers, media, general contractors, engineers, consulting groups, etc.

Montréal is currently experiencing significant effervescence with, among other things, several major immense projects on the outskirts of downtown that will improve the urban fabric in a structuring way, and new large 3D scale models and/or illustrations of these flagship projects will be presented at Montréal du Futur® 2025:

  • The former Molson lands along the river, a project called Quartier Molson by developer Montoni; - Phase 2 of the Royalmount (midtown), a project by the developer Carbonleo
  • The Bridge-Bonaventure sector, National Film Board complex rehabilitation project in St-Laurent borough, and the Pointe de Longueuil, all projects of the Canada Lands Company (Government of Canada)
  • The Quartier des Lumières on the former Radio-Canada site and the Projet Langelier, new major initiatives by the developer Mach

Also, as a highlight of this year's exhibition, the City of Montreal will present its new master urban plan with several themes through some forty visual and explanatory panels. Many other partners and exhibitors will present projects in the areas of culture (e.g., the new Holocaust Museum), health (e.g., rehabilitation of the Montreal Chest Institute), transportation (e.g., the new blue line of the STM metro), commercial development, residential or mixed-use development, interior design, as well as innovations in various sectors.

"Without a doubt, Montreal is still in the midst of a great renaissance, even if the number of cranes has decreased somewhat specifically in the downtown area since 2023, because it is obviously the mega new high-density sectors around the center that now mark the real growth of the Metropolis. We can see this clearly with the number of strategic partners of the event that are still very present compared to previous editions, and the organizing committee is proud to have managed to bring together a very good number of different projects and we hope that you will enjoy your visit," says the Founding President of Montréal du Futur®, Robert J. Vezina.
