New leadership at Panattoni; senior execs at Fiera, OREA, Parvis...

Panattoni, one of the world’s largest privately held industrial real estate developers, has restructured its leadership team including the appointment of Adon Panattoni as global chief executive officer. 

He will also continue to serve concurrently as CEO of Panattoni North America, while Robert Dobrzycki will remain CEO of Panattoni Europe. 

Additionally, Bill Bullen has been named global chief operating officer, responsible for driving operational efficiency and execution across all regions.

Doug Roberts will serve as president, North American development, leading Panattoni’s development efforts across the continent and driving expansion. 

Scott Siegel has been appointed chief financial officer, North America, ensuring financial strategy and capital alignment with Panattoni’s long-term development goals.

Panattoni also appointed a series of managing partners and local partners across North America, including Brad Hoffman as managing partner, Canada.

Muzzo takes global executive role at Fiera

Fiera Capital Corporation (FSZ-T) has elevated Sandro Muzzo to global chief legal officer to lead the firm's legal functions, providing strategic counsel to Fiera Capital's investment platforms and corporate operations.

Muzzo brings over 15 years of legal experience to the position, including five years within Fiera Capital's legal leadership team. Most recently, he was senior vice-president and general counsel, Canada, where he served as a strategic partner to the executive team and played a central role in advising the company in significant transactions.

Muzzo previously practiced corporate and securities law at two of Canada's top-tier business law firms, where he developed experience in domestic, cross-border and foreign debt financings and mergers and acquisitions, divestitures and other corporate transactions.

He holds an LLB from the Université de Montréal and was admitted to the Quebec Bar in 2011.

Favaro to take top job at OREA

The Ontario Real Estate Association (OREA) has appointed Luigi Favaro as its new CEO, effective Sept. 2.

Favaro brings nearly 20 years of experience in the real estate industry, with a track record of leading strategic development and organizational growth. 

He currently serves as vice-president of partnerships at OREA and, over the years, has been responsible for expanding the organization’s strategic partnerships, overseeing the development of member board support programs and launching association initiatives.

He’ll step into the role which has been filled for the past year by interim CEO Sonia Richards.

Noah Murad succeeds Roy Murad on Parvis board 

Technology-driven private investor Parvis Invest Inc. (PVIS-X) announced Roy Murad has stepped down from the company's board of directors and has been succeeded by Noah Murad.

Noah Murad is the managing partner of Bluestar Equity, a private investment office owned by the Murad family. He brings experience in private markets and long-term capital stewardship to the Parvis board. He holds a BA from Western University and an MBA from Athabasca University.

"We are delighted to welcome Noah to the board as we scale the business and pursue new opportunities," said David Michaud, the chief executive officer of Parvis, in the announcement. "His expertise and connectivity within the Canadian capital ecosystem will be invaluable as we advance our strategic objectives."

Salomon-Lima moves to Savills in Montreal

Savills has added David Salomon-Lima as senior vice-president in its Montréal office. With over 15 years of industry experience, Salomon-Lima will focus on providing office leasing agency and tenant advisory services.

Prior to joining Savills, he held roles at Rosefellow, Broccolini, Ivanhoé Cambridge and Avison Young. 

In Montréal, Salomon-Lima will join the investment sales team, led by Jean-Pierre Gagnon and Robert Metcalfe, as well as the Savills Montreal industrial services group, which launched the office in 2023.  

Fairway hires Snyder as director

Emily Snyder is the new director, investments at Toronto-based Fairway Development Group.

Snyder moved to Fairway after six years at Harbour Equity. She served most recently as a director with responsibility for underwriting real estate transactions to determine feasibility of proposed joint venture opportunities, drafting JV term sheets, due diligence and other functions.

Prior to her time at Harbour, Snyder was an assurance manager at EY.

She holds a CPA, CA designation and has an honours bachelor of accounting degree from the Goodman School of Business at Brock University.

Colliers names two VPs in Edmonton

Colliers (CIGI-T) has hired Paul Raimundo as senior vice-president and Bruce Peters as vice-president with its brokerage team in Edmonton. Both have years of experience in the Edmonton market and have retail backgrounds in tenant and landlord representation.

Raimundo started his career at Colliers and is an industry veteran with over 25 years’ experience working for some of the country’s largest landlords, as well as tenants. 

Peters has over 17 years of commercial real estate experience and a business-consulting approach to real estate problems for clients. 

Both are joining Colliers from Avison Young. They have held senior roles at JLL and Oberfeld Snowcap among others.

MacDonald new originator at Largo

Largo Capital has hired Mike MacDonald as an originator based in its Toronto office. He will be responsible for sourcing, structuring and negotiating commercial real estate financing solutions across multiple asset classes. 

MacDonald brings over a decade of experience in real estate, having worked with leading Canadian firms in investments, asset management and capital markets. He will work directly with both borrowers and capital providers. 

Arcadis adds two to placemaking practice

Arcadis Canada has made two leadership appointments within its placemaking practice: Craig Sklenar and Alfredo Landaeta.

Sklenar has been hired as principal, urban design after spending the past 10 years with Stantec in a variety of increasingly senior roles. He has an extensive background in urban design with three private and public organizations, including two years as a senior planner with the City of Calgary.

Landaeta, also brought on board as a principal, urban design, moves to Arcadis after almost a decade as an independent urban design consultant with his firm, AL Urban Design. He was also director, mixed use and entertainment with FORREC, spent a couple of years at Stantec and, earlier in his career, was a principal with B+H Architects.

CIMA+ appoints Bélanger as VP

CIMA+, one of Canada's largest private consulting engineering firms, has appointed Mathieu Bélanger as vice-president, earth and environment.

Bélanger worked previously at CIMA+, and returns to bring over two decades of experience in urban planning, real estate development, public policy and infrastructure. Before rejoining CIMA+, he served as executive director of policy and public affairs at the Federation of Canadian Municipalities, as director of the planning department for the City of Gatineau and held senior leadership roles in the Canadian government.

Bélanger holds a master's degree in real estate development from Columbia University and a master's in urban planning from the Université de Montréal. 

Bélanger succeeds Raymond McNamara, who retired at the end of July.
