Cushman & Wakefield files IPO to go public
Cushman & Wakefield, one of the oldest and largest global real estate services providers, has filed a preliminary prospectus to take the company public. The prospectus filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission does not state the number of shares to be offered, nor the pricing. It was filed Wednesday. C&W has extensive operations across Canada, with 22 offices from coast-to-coast.
Fonds JVs on new Montreal commercial centre in Beauharnois
A 48,000 square foot office building has opened in the first phase of a $55 million commercial development located on a strategic site in a trucking corridor on Montreal’s South Shore. The Espace 30 Beauharnois in Beauharnois just off Highway 30, will become a regional commercial centre with a planned hotel, second office building, several shops and services, car dealerships and services for truckers.
Vancouver’s Reliance goes extra mile for evicted tenants

Six months ago: China’s Greenland builds Toronto towers
Downtown Toronto’s East Bayfront is about to receive its latest injection of new life with Lakeside Residences by Greenland Group (Canada). The 3.85-acre site formerly occupied by FedEx will be “transformed into a master-planned community with seven towers and upwards of 2,000 new residential units and over 30,000 square feet of retail space,” according to Amanda Ireland, CEO of Milborne Group, which is overseeing marketing and sales of the development.
